INVERCARGILL CLUB’S MEETING. The Invercargill Whippet Racing Club held its September meeting on the track at Oteramika Road on Saturday. The results were:—
OPEN FLAT (200 Yards). J. R. Aitken’s Bonnette (13yds) 1 J. Winders’ Lady G. (13)yds) 2 T. Hutchison’s Gay Girl (lljyds) 3 A close finish. Won by half a length. MIDDLEWEIGHT HANDICAP (200 Yards). J. Winders’ Miss G. (13yds) 1 J. M. Winders’ Fleet Pepper (12yds) 2 M. Orme’s Flying Mahru (13Jyds) 3 Won by a nose, third dog two lengths back. MAIDEN HURDLES. J. M. Winders’ Arthur Postle (20yds) 1 Mrs J. Tatham’sMadam Min (20yds) 2 R. McLellan’s Warhaven (20yds) 3 Won by a head. OPEN HURDLES.
