LIFEBOAT LAUNCHED
AUCKLAND HARBOUR FERRYBOY FALLS OVERBOARD. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, September 1. For the first time for several years a lifeboat was launched in the harbour this morning from a ferry boat. A boy, of six, Richard Newman, fell overboard. A lifebuoy was flung to him, but he ■was floating face downwards and could not see it. A passenger named R. A. Lowe dived in and supported him till the lifeboat arrived. He was rescued in an extremely exhausted state, but he soon recovered.
