WOMEN SHOPLIFTERS. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 17. Four charges of shoplifting involving the theft of property valued at £6 197in two city shops were preferred against a woman and her daughter in the Magistrate’s Court. Both received terms of imprisonment, the elder, Mrs Elizabeth Biondell, widow, a month’s imprisonment, and the daughter, Mrs Annie Helena Kortegast, 21 days’ imprisonment by the Magistrate, Mr Mosley.
