ULM STARTS TO-DAY IMPROVEMENT IN THE WEATHER PLANE READY (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, July 1. A definite decision to commence the return Tasman flight about 4.30 tomorrow morning was made by Mr C. T. P. Ulm to-night. At 8 o’clock tonight Mr Ulm received an official forecast of the weather, this being fairly favourable. The machine made a flight of 1 hour 40 minutes from Hobsonville to Ninety Mile Beach. Heavy weather was experienced throughout the trip. Owing to a strong wind the machine had to be anchored, a precaution not taken on previous occasions. A total of 740 gallons of benzine and 32 gallons of oil was put into the machine at 9 o’clock to-night. The weather was. improving and the wind was dying down with longer intervals between the showers.
