OHAI NOTES
THE WEATHER. (From Our Correspondent.) Sharp frosts have lately been experienced in this district. There was a slight shower of rain on Monday. Nurse Wilson, who has been in the district for the past five weeks, left on Monday for Otautau. St. Chad’s Anglican Church. At the annual meeting of St. Chad’s Anglican Church, the Rev. W. S. Hine, Winton, presided over a fair attendance. The meeting opened with prayer, and after the minutes of the previous annual meeting had been confirmed the vicar thanked all officers—Ladies’ Guild, Sunday School teachers, Miss Evans, organist, and Mrs Harding for their good work throughout the year. The balance-sheet was held over until the next meeting.
The following office-bearers were elected; Vicar’s warden, Mr A. E. Potter; people’s warden, Mr T. Charles; secretary and treasurer, Mrs W. Manderson; vestry, Mesdames Popham, S. Kelly, S. Bowman, R. Bird, J. Thompson, Dixon and Mr T. Kelly.
