TRIALS IN RUSSIA

ALLEGED FOOD WRECKERS. NUMEROUS DEATH SENTENCES. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Riga, June 27. There has been great progress in the second series of demonstrative trials of food wreckers throughout Russia. The numerous death sentences include seven directors and other Soviet responsible co-operative officials. Trials are being held in Moscow, Leningrad, Kieff and Ukraine and are widely published to check the upward tendency in food prices, which have been greatly stimulated by the Government’s recent admission of a partial harvest failure.
