SHIPPING SERVICE
SOUTHERN PORTS TO MELBOURNE. OPPOSITION TO SUBSIDY. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, June 28. Opposition to the suggested Government subsidy for a shipping service between the southern ports of New Zealand and Melbourne was expressed at a meeting of the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. Approval was given to a letter on the subject sent by the president to the Prime Minister.
