MISS JEAN BATTEN

MEMBER OF VICE-REGAL PARTY. VISIT TO PARLIAMENT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 28. Miss Jean Batten was present at the opening of Parliament to-day, after which she accompanied the GovernorGeneral and Lady Bledisloe to an afternoon tea reception given by the Prime Minister. In the evening she was a member of the Vice-Regal party which attended the Pouishnoff-Stevens concert. Tomorrow she will be the guest of the Wellington Aero Club at afternoon tea. The Y.W.C.A'. has arranged a reception for Tuesday to give Wellington girls the opportunity of meeting the aviatrix.
