FIRE BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting yesterday of the Invercargill Fire Board there were present: Messrs E. B. Pilcher (chairman), R. N. Todd and C. J. Broad. In his report the superintendent, Mr F. S. Simpson, said that the brigade attended twelve calls—five dwellings, four chimney fires, one motor car fire, an outbreak at the Post Office and one investigation. The monthly visit of inspection was paid to Lome Farm, Kew and Karitane when everything was found to be in good order.
