AUSTRALIAN DEFENCES
EXPERT ADVICE SOUGHT. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.45 p.m.) Melbourne, June 15. Taking advantage of the visit to Australia of Colonel Sir Maurice Hankey, secretary of the Committee on Imperial Defence, who will be an official guest at the forthcoming centenary celebrations, the Commonwealth Government will seek his advice on defence, on which the Government has decided to initiate a progressive policy covering all branches of the service.
