MARKING OF MEAT
PREVENTION EFFORTS FAIL. DECISION OF COMMONS. (United Press Assn. —Telegrr-gp Copyright.) London, June 14. All efforts to prevent meat marking have proved futile. The House of Commons by 92 votes to 22 rejected Dr. W. J. O’Donovan’s motion, so the Order-in-Council comes into force on January 1, 1935. Mr W. E. Elliot suggested that the method of roller marking as used on home-killed beef should be applied instead of the aniline method.
