ANNUAL MEETING OF SOCIETY. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 15. At the annual meeting of the Southdown Sheep Society of New Zealand it was stated that the proloonged effort to get all registered Southdowns into one flock book had been successful. The balance-sheet showed a surplus for the year of £6OO, while the reserves amounted to over £3500. The chairman, Mr H. Burrell, of Feilding, suggested to keep the present assets intact, but to return some of the income to members by way of reduced fees. Subsequently the council was given power to make reductions as it thought fit. The following officers were elected: President, Mr H. Burrell; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Brooks (Canterbury), J. Knight (Feilding); council, Messrs H. Burrell, J. Brooks, W. H. Buick (Masterton), J. Deans (Canterbury), G. F. Ellis (Bulls), W. G. Gimblett (Hastings), and H. B. Stuckey (Dannevirke)*
