Tire Tamatea is expected to sail this morning for the muttonbird islands. The launch Pegasus arrived with cased fish from Stewart Island yesterday. The departure of the steamer Abel Tasman was also expected last night, the vessel being timed to complete loading and sail for Greymouth shortly before midnight. The local agents of the Union Steam Ship Comnany advise that the Karetu was to sail 'from Dunedin at 6 o’clock last evening and is due to berth at Bluff this morning. She sails again on Monday for Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. The Union Company’s Wainui was expected to sail from Wellington at 8 o’clock last evening for Oamaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due to arrive at Bluff on Tuesday morning, sailing again in the afternoon for Melbourne. The Waikouaiti, now at Lyttelton, is expected to leave there on Tuesday for Bluff direct, advise the local agents of the Union Steam Ship Company. She will arrive here on Wednesday evening, sailing on Thursday for Sydney direct.
The Waimarino leaves Auckland next Friday. June 1, for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff, (report the local agents of the Union Company.) She is due at Bluff on June 7, sailing again on June 8 for Wellington and Auckland via ports. The Federal Line steamer Cambridge arrived at Auckland from Liverpool last Saturday morning to unload general merchandise from west coast ports of Great Britain. She sailed on ' Wednesday afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Fort Chalmers to complete discharge. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co., advise that the Canadian Challenger was scheduled to leave Montreal on Wednesday with Canadian cargo for discharge at Brisbane, Sydney Melbourne, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. She is due at Dunedin about July 23. Advice received by the Union Company states that the Waihemo, which loaded cargo at' Pacific coast ports for New Zealand and Australia, was delayed at San Francisco owing to a strike of stevedores. An endeavour was being made to despatch the Waihemo from San Francisco on May 21 and Los Angeles on May 22 for Auckland. The Canadian Scottish is due at Dunedin about June 10 from Montreal via Australian ports to discharge Canadian cargo and load products for New York, Boston, and Montreal. The vessel will complete discharge and load at LytteltonThe Doric Star, which left Auckland on March 28 for London via Panama, has arrived at the Home port. , „„ The Ruahine, from London, left Caracas Bay on May 17.
