WARNING TO MOTORISTS.
An important announcement by the Motor Vehicles Third Party Pool, appears in another column with respect to the premiums payable under the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) Act, 1928. Attention is drawn to the fact that these rates are specified by Order in Council, and are uniform with all companies. The premiums, which are set out in full on the insurance nomination form, are payable without any deduction to the Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles at the time of registration of any vehicle and the nomination of the insurance company selected for the cover of third party risks. As many motorists have been misled by the receipt of circulars from which it may be inferred that discounts could be obtained, the Motor Vehicles Third Party Pool has issued a statement warning motorists that such is not the case. The premiums set out in the Order-in-Council are based on the experience of past years, and, with slight exception, show further reductions on those previously charged. Motorists are advised to make their nominations early, thus assisting the authorities, and to insure only with members of the Motor Vehicles Third Party P001.—26/5/34.
