NEW COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.

President Hindenburg has appointed a regular soldier and not a military politician to succeed General von Kammerstein as Commander-in-Chief of the Reichswehr, namely, Baron Werner von Fritsch, an artilleryman staff officer in war-time and thereafter a cavalry officer. NO CONNECTION WITH NAZIS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 1.35 a.m.) Berlin, January 4. Lieutenant Baron Werner von Fritsch, commandet of the Third Division of the Reichswehr, succeeds General von Kammerstein from February 1. Lieutenant von Fritsch is a professional soldier. He is not connected with politics or the Nazi movement.
