Horrell for some weeks, have returned to Fortrose. , Mr and Mrs Mills, Invercargill, are the guests of their daughter, Mrs C. McKenzie. Mr and Mrs C. B. Philips, Christchurch, who have been the guests of Miss Ivy Horrell, left on Tuesday for Gore and Riversdale. Miss Coleen Bone, Orepuki, is the guest of Mrs G. Griffin. Miss D. Stapleton is the guest of Misses Lenni and Dorrie Knowler. Regret is felt at the departure of Miss Mary Findlay from the _ local school to take up a similar position in the school at Kapuka. Miss Findlay, who has been resident in the district fo- the past four years, has always taken an active part in all the activities of the district, and her well-known musical ability will be greatly missed at all social events. At the close of the school concert Mr Stenton, on behalf of the Tewaewae residents, presented Miss Findlay with a crystal jug and six goblets. Miss Lucy Horrell has been appointed to Miss Findlay’s position in the school.
