RESTAURANT FOR ONE
JUST FOR OWNER’S LUNCH.
A man in Belfest says that he runs a restaurant just to get his own lunch in it. He lives in the country, but is a book-keeper in Belfast. • When his case came before the local court for the revision of jurors’ lists it was pointed out that he had also a business in the city. “Yes,” the man told the court. I have a restaurant, but I only carry it on to get my lunch in it.” He was refused exemption. “It is quite true,” the man said. “I run a restaurant as a sort of hobby. I used to be in the business before taking up my present job, and I decided to keep on a small place. “There is so much of a rush in down-town restaurants at lunch time that it is hard to get good service. But I am always sure of immediate attention—and the best of food—at my own place.” _____
