SCHOOL BREAK-UP.

The annual break-up ceremony of the Tuatapere school took place on Wednesday at the school grounds. The weather was ideal and quite a number of parents and friends attended. During the afternoon races for the children were held, afternoon tea was handed round and a pleasant time spent. Mr Brooks, chairman of the school committee, addressed the gathering and presented the dux prize, a gold wristlet watch, to May Winter. Mrs McDonald a very old resident spoke a few words and presented the certificates. The prize list is as follows:—
