INTEREST IN SLUM CLEARANCE.

The Prince of Wales sold 141 acres of his Kennington estates surrounding the Oval to' the London County Council to aid ihe scheme for slum clearance. A County Council official described the Prince’s action as a great gesture without which a rapid start in clearance would have been impossible.
