The Prime Minister, Senor Lerroux, in the course of a ministerial declaration in the Cortes, announced that the republic must be nationalist without personal egotism. Social peace, discipline and economic organization must be re-established. The Government was considering individual amnesties,, though in view of the recent outbreak a general amnesty would not be promulgated. The existing religious legislation must be respected.
