DISTRIBUTION OF PROFITS.
According to an announcement made by the Minister for Internal Affairs (the Hon. J. A. Young), the following allocations have been made from the proceeds of Art Union No. 27, drawn on Monday:—
£ Early Settler’s Association, Wellington (to pay off debentures and accrued interest) 550 Smith Family, joy-spreaders, Wellinton (relief purposes) " 250 Rangiotu Hall Society (towards liquidating bank overdraft) 300 St. Kilda Beach Improvement Society (in reduction of bank overdraft) 300 Stewart Island Social Services 250 Newton Hall Society (liquidating bank overdraft) 200 The Rev. Fielden Taylor, Wellington (children’s summer camps) 100 Manawatu Bowling, Croquet, and Tennis Club (to liquidate bank overdraft) 250 Raetihi Farmers’ Institute (to liquidate bank overdraft, conditional on settlers raising £200) 600 Mayor’s Funds, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, £250 each, for the relief of distress 1000 Rangitikei Cricket Association (towards liquidating debts) 500 New Zealand Red Cross Society,. Wellington (relief purposes) 200 Total 4500
