THE PICNIC SEASON

RAILWAY ORGANIZATION. In readiness for the picnic season, which is already bringing traffic to the railways, the Railway Department has issued a new series of a booklet, “Picnics by Rail,” which is distributed free. The publication gives details of concessions in fares and complete information of the picnic grounds available in the principal districts of the North and South Island. Railway officers, thoroughly experienced in the planning of picnics, will be pleased to give their services free for the organization of these cheap excursions.
