GIFT EVENING. (From Our Correspondent.) On Tuesday evening, December 5, Miss I. During the evening songs were contributed by Messrs Wixon and Belsham, while Mr Ryan (Granity) ’ e a recitation. At a suitable interval Mr Nuttal, congratulated Miss Crengle and Mr Lapham on their approaching marriage and wished them every prosperity and happiness. He then called upon Mr M. Maley to make the presentation. In doing so, Mr Maley expressed the good wishes of plicM preSent ‘ 4-apham suitably refor*he dancing was supplied M '-? e ni S ! Egerton a nd McKay, while Mr J. Blakie was M.C.
