It is not often that there is anything new to report in the tyre world, but on this occasion there are several interesting developments. The Avon Duo-tread, for instance, possesses distinctly novel features. Designed for use on high class cars, this _ tyre has two treads; when the non-skid surface of the main tread has become normally worn, and in the ordinary way would be discarded, a second tread is exposed.
