WILD WEST RODEO

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. MOUNTING CASUALITY LIST. (United Press Assn.--Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, October 26. The recently inaugurated annual rodeo at Madison Square Garden, where the most vicious horses and cattle were imported for broncho busting and steer dogging in wild west style by volunteer entrants, showed a mounting casuality list with the death to-day of one cowboy and more or less serious injury to three cowgirls. Dock Lucas died as a result of being thrown from a back-bucking steer, while three cowgirls, one suffering from a broken leg, another a broken ankle, and the third from internal injuries from being trampled on by a horse, were reported to be resting easily in local hospitals. The casualties total 17 since the opening of the rodeo. Stage and screen stars have volunteered their services for a theatrical benefit.
