THEFTS ALLEGED

LETTERS FROM BOXES. YOUTH BEFORE COURT. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 27. Alleged to have found a post office key that was left in a letter-box and thereafter to have stolen letters containing money, a youth of 17 appeared at the Magistrate’s Court charged with theft. The chief detective said the amount involved would probably be £lOO and the number of letters stolen 1000. The boy, whose name was suppressed meantime, was charged with theft on September 28 of 13/- belonging to Glasson’s, Ltd., and remanded to November 2.
