TREATMENT OF NURSES. (Per United Press Association.) Westport, October 13. At a largely attended public meeting to inquire into the treatment of nurses in the Buller Hospital and hospital affairs in general, the following resolution was carried unanimously: That those present are dissatisfied with the conduct of the board at a recent inquiry; at the action of the board in suppressing the evidence of nurses in support of their evidence and unfair support given by the board to the matron and that in the opinion of the meeting the whole and present dissatisfaction is caused by the board’s maladministration and the attitude. of the matron, and that the true position should be placed before the Minister of Health. The meeting was called by _ the deputy Mayor in response to a petition containing 2000 names. I
