De Kind To Animals

Long, long ago when man had no helping animals his work was much harder than ours. He had to do it all himself. Gradually he trained the animals so that they might help him. At the present, man has many animals trained therefore his work is much easier.

However if we are unkind to the animals they will be of no help and perhaps some day they may return to their wild state and so poor man will have to do the labour as in the days of yore. —2 marks to Cousin Laurence Moir, Eastern Bush, Southland.
