What do you think of our very small cousin’s prize-winning entry ?_ I was greatly pleased with it. Cousin Kathleen Morrin’s story was neatly written and her punctuation excellent. As you all know, neatness is an important factor in your entries. I was pleased with them all this week. I enjoyed the prize-winning poems immensely and it will be good for you all to read them carefully and see how wel Ithey scan—the rhythm flows smoothly and makes them delightfully easy to read. I enjoyed Enid Cockerell’s poem too, but her metre changed rather abruptly in the last verse. Isabell Ramsay, although her matter was good, also did not have her lines scanning properly. Do watch this fault—it is very prevalent amongst you. 267th COMPETITION. ANIMAL PAGE. Entries for drawings have closed. Entries for prose and poetry close on TUESDAY OCTOBER 10. 268th. COMPETITION. (a) Story for all Cousins—“ Chimney Tops.” (b) Poem for Cousins 13 and over, — “Books.” Entries close, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17.
