FORTROSE NOTES

(From Our Correspondent.) The fortnightly flag 500 tournaments, which have been held throughout the vzinter in aid of the Anglican Church funds, were concluded on Wednesday evening. There was a large attendance, the games being keenly contested. The winners were Miss O. McEwan and Messrs G. J. Burt and D, Lawson. The Rev. Carmody thanked the people for their support during the season. Mrs Morrison, Dunedin, is staying with her sister, Mrs E. G. Humphries.

Mr and Mrs Whittaker, who have been spending their annual holidays in Fortrose, left last Friday for Invercargill where they will spend a few days prior to returning to Monowai.

Miss Barbara Urquhart is at present relieving teacher at the Forest Vale household school.

Mr and Mrs Whittingham, Wendon, spent last week-end with Mr and Mrs T. Golden.
