DAMAGE AND THEFT

MARRIED MAN SENT TO GAOL. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 5. Leonard Walter Corlett, of Palmerston North, aged 30 and married, was arrested to-day and he pleaded guilty at Petone to wilfully damaging telephone cabinets and theft. For damaging one cabinet to the extent of £1 he was sentenced to three months’ hard labour, and for the theft of 9/3 received a similar sentence, the terms to be cumulative. On two other charges he received corresponding sentences to be concurrent with the above.
