MAGISTRATE’S COURT

SITTING AT GORE. At a sitting of the Gore Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr H. J. Dixon, S.M., judgment was given for plaintiffs by default in the following civil cases:—C. V. Thomson v. F. Trusler (Arthurton) for £3 3/6, costs £1 13/6; United Trading Company v. Robert James (Kelso) for £7 1/1, costs £1 17/6; C. V. Thomson v. George Friend (Invercargill) for 5/8 costs; H. and J. Smith Ltd. v. A. Allison (Wendon Valley) for £1 17/6, costs 13/-; W. T. Trusler v. A. E. Soper (Freshford) for 13/-, costs 8/-; same v. M. E. Brosnan (Waikaia) for £6 10/3, costs £1 10/6; Petersons Ltd. v. Alexander Shaw (Arthurton) for £5 14/-, costs £1 14/6. On a judgment summons John Smythe (Whiterig) was ordered to pay to H. O. Dawson (Waikaia) the sum of £3 13/6 forthwith in default four days’ imprisonment.
