INDIAN RESERVISTS
SETTLEMENT IN AUSTRALIA.
A CLERGYMAN’S SUGGESTION.
(United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, August 28. The Rev. James Green, a Methodist minister who has had wide war-time experience, advocates a scheme for settling Sikh and Rajput Indian Army reservists on the Northern Territory areas. This plan would help to keep Australia right, which was more important than a White Australia. If war came the danger in the north was undeniable, and it was futile for churchmen to spread their hands in horror after foreign relations were ruptured. The Sikhs and Rajputs were fine men whose presence in the territory would be valuable.
