BEEKEEPERS CONFER
CO-OPERATIVE COMPANY.
A number of beekeepers met on Friday morning in Everybody s Hall to meet Mr Collick, who is a provisional director in New Zealand Honey Ltd. The object of the meeting was to further the formation of this co-operative company. After a full discussion of many matters in connection with the packing and marketing of honey, including that of advertising of the company’s pack, those present who had not previously signed up with the company did so at the close of the meeting. , , , The directors, it was stated, were confident of the support of practically the whole industry throughout New Zealand. A few producers representing only a few tons in Southland, now remained unsigned. Within tne past month 600 tons, or approximately a quarter of the amount consumed in New Zealand had been signed up.
