WOMEN DETECTIVES

SCOTLAND YARD INNOVATION. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.25 p.m.) London, August 16. An innovation has been established at Scotland Yard by the appointment of three women to the detective staff. They have recently been attached to a police station in the East End of London and are working in plain clothes. It is anticipated that more women will be added to the famous C.I.D. when trained.
