CLERK CHARGED
ALLEGED THEFT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 22. Having surrendered to the police this morning, Harold Percy Campbell, aged 22, a clerk, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on a charge of theft, as a servant, of £6l, the property of the Phoenix Assurance Company. He was remanded on £l5O bail, a condition being that he reported daily to the police, who said the charge did not indicate the full amount involved, which would be nearer £5OO.
