FOUND DEAD IN BATH. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 24. Said to have been suffering from ill-health for some time past, Andrew McNaughton, a hairdresser, was found dead in the bath at a boardinghouse at Petone yesterday. McNaughton, who was 55 years of age, was in business in Willis street, Wellington. STREET ACCIDENT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 24. Knocked down by a motor car in Manners street on Saturday evening, John McCook died later in the Wellington Hospital. It is understood that McCook was crossing the street about six o’clock when he was struck. He received injuries to the head and was removed to hospital by an ambulance. He was an ex-imperial service man, and is believed to have a wife in England. CONSTABLE FOUND SHOT. (Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, July 24. Robert Alexander Dougherty, a constable stationed at Wanganui, was found dead in a tool shed at the rear of the police station this afternoon with a revolver nearby. There was a severe bullet wound in his head. Deceased had been in ill-health for a considerable time. He leaves a wife and four children.
