The programme was as follows: Country dance, scouts; monologue, Mr Ruskin Dennis; Highland reel, scout officers; sketch from “Rob Roy,” cubs; song, Mrs Field; Irish jig, Miss G. Watt and lan Watt; pianoforte solo, Miss D. B. Dennis, L.T.C.L., humorous sketch, scout officers; violin solo, Mr R. Dennis; bagpipe selection, Mr M. Watson; camp fire scene, Scout Troop. At a special meeting of the local branch of the Farmers’ Union it was decided to appoint Mr W. Muirhead, jun., and Mr H. Rance at attend the school for young farmers to be held in Invercargill.
