WOMEN’S DIVISION

NIGHTCAPS BRANCH. At the monthly meeting of the Nightcaps branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union Mrs Sinclair presided over fifty members of the Women’s Institute and Women’s Division combined when Miss Crowe and Miss Robins, of the Home Science Extension Bureau of the Otago Univerity, were present. Miss Crowe lectured on the value of different foods and demonstrated making and serving sandwiches and savouries. Mrs McGregor thanked Miss Crowe for her interesting address. An invitation was received from the Thombury branch to attend their third birthday social. Miss Wilson took charge of the wool squares to be made into a bed quilt. Members of the Farmers’ Union joined the ladies for supper after the meeting.
