THEFT OF JEWELLERY

BLENHEIM BURGLARY.

Blenheim, June 15.

Desmond Thomas Connolly, aged 19, from the Lower Hutt, pleaded guilty to-day to breaking and entering the Blenheim dwelling of Ronald Norman Patchett and stealing jewellery. He was committed for sentence at Wellington. On a further charge of the theft of a rifle belonging to Frank Roberts, of Lower Hutt, he was convicted and discharged. Accused’s brother, Edward Norman Connolly, aged 22, pleaded not guilty to participating in the breaking and entering offence at Patchett’s. He was committed for trial.
