RABBIT BREEDING

OUTLOOK FOR THE FUTURE. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 14. At the annual conference of the New Zealand Rabbit Breeders’ Association the president, Mr E. E. Rogers, of Havelock North, traced the year’s developments. He said Angora wool was growing in popularity. The price had been fairly steady. The outlook regarding fur breeds was not so bright. He warned members against extensive breeding of pelting rabbits. Numbers engaged in the breeding industry numbered now nearly 1000.

The following officers were elected: Patron, Hon. R. Masters; president, Mr Rogers; vice-president, Dr F. Dry, Massey College; secretary and treasurer, Mr Y. H. Benson, Featherston.
