BEQUESTS UNDER WILL
LATE MR J. A. JOHNSTONE. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 14. Under the will of Mr J. A. Johnstone (Dunedin) the following bequests to charity are made: Dr Bamardo Homes, National Incorporated Association, £500; Salvation Army, £500; Presbyterian Social Service Association, Dunedin, £lOOO of perpetual debenture stock in Wright, Stephenson and Company. Mr Johnstone intended to make a beque'st to the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Plunket Society), and though this is not provided for in the will, Mrs Johnstone is giving to the society, in accordance with her husband’s expressed wish, £5OO of debenture stock in Wright, Stephenson’s. LATE MR C. S. SANDERS PARK BOARDS BENEFIT. (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, June 14., Bequests made by the will of the late Mr C. S. Sanders, who died at New Plymouth last week, are £lOOO to the Western Park Board, £5OO to the board controlling reserves, £350 to the New Plymouth Borough Council for a rhododendron dell in Pukekura Park, £250 to the New Zealand Division of the cancer campaign, £250 to the Stratford Public Hospital. The residue of the estate, after, private bequests, is bequeathed on trust for the benefits of Pukekura Park, New Plymouth. It is understood the residue will be a substantial sum. Mr Sanders was once the owner of Ngaere gardens.
