SLANDER ALLEGED

SALE OF A FORMULA. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 14. The slander action against J. D. Sievwright was continued to-day. Sievwright gave evidence of using substantially the words alleged against him in the statement of claim.. Witness detailed his business connection with plaintiff. At the time he made the statements on which the action was founded, witness had no knowledge of plaintiff’s dealing with a Christchurch company, and knew nothing of an Auckland transaction. At that time he based his allegations that, plaintiff was a rogue and ought to be in gaol on his dealings -with Mrs Miller and witness himself. Sydney Herbert Dawe, salesman, gave evidence concerning dealings with the syndicate. He considered Boddie a good salesman, but not a good business man. He took people on trust too much. The case was adjourned until tomorrow.
