DISTEMPER IN DOGS ALARM IN CANTERBURY WHOLE TEAMS LOST (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 14. Distemper among dogs has been very prevalent in Canterbury recently and some sheepfarmers have lost their entire teams. A general committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association decided to-day to ask for reports on the disease from the Department of Agriculture and from its own veterinary surgeons. The committee also decided to ask County Councils to set aside a portion of the proceeds from the sale .of dog licenses towards a fund for combating the disease.
