BAVARIAN CATHOLIC LEADER. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Munich, June 14. A gang of men forcibly broke into the house of Dr. Schloegel, a wellknown leader of Bavarian Catholics, and demolished the furniture. They then beat Dr. Schloegel so unmercifully that he was sent to hospital. DEMONSTRATIONS FEARED PRECAUTIONS IN MUNICH. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Munich, June 14. Fulfilling Herr Wagner’s remark that only Nazi soldiers had the right to walk the streets, the Government, in anticipation of Catholic demonstrations on Corpus Christi Day (June 15), prohibited processions and meetings. Though the week-end brutalities provoked Herr Hitler’s displeasure, there has been no official inquiry or expression of regret.
