EVEREST EXPEDITION

PARTY SLIGHTLY FROSTBITTEN. FRESH ATTACK ON SUMMIT. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, June 11. Mr Hugh Ruttledge, leader of the Everest expedition, in a wireless message from Mt Everest says the whole party is now at the base camp after the climbers’ descent from camp three. The monsoon is now active and Everest is covered with fresh snow. When the weather moderates Messrs Smythe, Harris, Shipton, Longland, Crawford, Erocklebank and Green will again ascend the glacier for a fresh assault on the summit. All are slightly frostbitten and all, except Smythe, are suffering from a slight dilation of the heart.
