RELIEF OF DISTRESS

FUND IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 12. The fund being raised for the relief of distress in Christchurch by a committee of business men has now reached £4868 5/7. An anonymous benefactor has undertaken to look after 20 families for the winter. The families which were allotted to him by the secretary contain 173 children.
