STOCK KILLED

SERIOUS DERAILMENT FOUR HUNDRED SHEEP LOST GOODS TRAIN WRECKED (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, May 11. Both railway lines leading to the west were blocked late last night when a goods train was derailed at Werrington, near Penrith. Twelve trucks laden with sheep and cattle were smashed and over 400 sheep were killed. Fifteen other trucks also left the line. One truck containing 100 sheep closed up like a concertina, every animal being killed. Several horses were so badly mutilated that they had to be shot. Deep channels were cut by the heavy undercarriages in the permanent way, which was torn up for a considerable distance. The accident was due to a wheel of the leading truck snapping. The service will probably be resumed this morning.
