PRIZES PRESENTED

GORE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL SOCIAL. The annual social gathering and presentation of trophies of the Gore A. and P. Association was held last evening, when there was a large attendance of members of the association and exhibitors 'at the last show. Mr David Dickie (the president) occupied the chair. Extending a cordial welcome to those present, Mr Dickie said that the chief object of the function was to give members an opportunity of meeting prize-winners and of giving the exhibitors an opportunity of meeting the committee. At a later stage when presenting the prizes Mr Dickie said that the A. and P. Association had made steady progress over a long period of years. It was difficult to keep up the membership in these hard times, but entries were increasing year by year and the association was able to carry on its financial commitments, although it found it necessary to lean on its bankers.
