COLLECTION BOXES

FOUND BROKEN IN STREETS, (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, April 4. The mystery surrounding the finding of broken relief collection boxes has been heightened by the fact now disclosed that 42 boxes were re-issued in the afternoon without any official check and the collectors in these cases are unknown. However, to offset that, 44 paymentsin were made by unknown collectors. This was probably due to a rush late in the day. Another broken collection box had been found in Tuam street yesterday.
